St James's, Ormside - A Church Near You

Welcome to St James's, Ormside. Our church is part of the Heart of Eden Benefice, and a member of the Heart of Westmorland Missional Community. The parish of Ormside: St James is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Carlisle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. We have no salaried priests in this benefice, so many services will be lay led in the next few months, and it is difficult to predict when communion will be offered, leaving aside Christmas Eve, when we will have a communion!
