Description

Wendover Woods | Forestry England

Explore the beautiful Chilterns landscape at Wendover Woods with stunning views across the Chiltern Hills. There’s something for everyone with a wide range of ways to spend your day. If you're feeling energetic, why not try Go-Ape Tree Top Adventure, Gruffalo orienteering, our fitness trail assault course or our brand new play trail. Or relax in the woods with a stroll on one of our walks; you may even encounter an ancient monument. There are plenty of places to pause and admire the view or enjoy a picnic. We’ve been improving the visitor facilities. The redevelopment is now complete and the centre piece is our brand new visitor hub building. You’ll find the new Wendover Woods cafe, children’s play area, interpretation and toilets here. The layout has been designed to accommodate more visitors including a larger car park and brand new exit road. The new Wendover Woods Cafe offers hot and cold food and drinks and is situated in the British larch clad Visitor Hub with fantastic views across the forest and the Chilterns. Young and old can enjoy our new all ability play trail, which runs in an approximately 1 mile loop from the Visitor Hub and includes play features along the way.
